Firefox multi-open

10 Dec

I switched over to Firefox couple months ago or so. I just noticed the “Open in tabs” option, in Bookmarks menu. When you click it, it opens a new tab and loads each of the links at once. If you have 10 bookmarks in the group, it will open 10 new windows. This saves a loooot of time.

That’s true. It’s really convenient. Apart from that, the extensions are great. These add on a whole range of functionality to a browser. My favourite is FoxLingo, which helps to speedily translate various language webpages into something I’m familiar in (say, English). The search facilities and engines that one can include in Firefox are very useful too! FN

My favorite is GSpace. It uses a gmail account to store files in an interface which resembles most ftp programs.

Aslo, NoScript is good for web design. You can turn javascript on/off with a click of a button or define whitelists for sites where you allow javascript.
